    Youngest Volunteer

I have been coming to the café since before I was born.  I have applied two years ago to volunteer and had to wait till I was fourteen.  At long last I am allowed behind the counter.

Questions & Answers

  • Why would volunteering be of benefit to me?

Volunteering in Ambry's is a fun way to make friends in your local area, whilst at the same time raising valuable funds to help others. Working in our cafe can also help you with a return to work as we offer a chance to learn valuable skills to enhance your C.V. We offer comprehensive training, a chance to try out being a cook, a kitchen assistant or a front of house volunteer, what ever suits you the best. Ambry's is a special place and we always need more special people willing to give up a little time to help to keep us running.

  • Why should I eat in Ambry's?

Why not? We offer good quality, nourishing food, at very reasonable prices. We are 5 star rated with the local authority and all our hot, and the majority of our cold food, is freshly made to order. We particularly pride ourselves on our "All Day Breakfast" and our "Vegetarian Breakfast" both of which are very popular options on the menu. Our Friday lunches, which differ from our Mon-Thurs offering, are also highly praised and have followers of their own!

  • Where do the profits go?

There is something quite magical that happens at Ambry's, We not only help to provide our customers with affordable food, a pleasant friendly place to eat, and a chance to meet new people. But we help our customers to turn their meals, snacks and drinks into donations to good causes! Whatever you choose from our menu, some portion of the profit from what you buy is passed on, in grants, to local good causes. In other words "Eat in to help out".
